David Gower and cyclists at the 2009 Dorset Bike Ride
Over 850 cyclists took part in the 2010 Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride on Sunday 4th July. Keep watching this web site for the fund raising result and news of the 2011 ride.

Message from David Gower:
For the first time last year my schedule allowed me to get on my bike and find out what the Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride is all about. It was great to be there for what has become a superbly run and brilliantly supported annual event, one that is easy and fun to be part of. The cause remains a great one so I am looking to be there again this July and I hope record numbers will be able to join me.Image

The Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride is all about raising money for people living with cancer - that's why we need cyclists to raise as much as they can for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event is organised and run entirely by volunteers, so all of the money that you raise in sponsorship can go directly to where it is needed.

Cyclists are very well supported on the day. Marshalls are in attendance all around the course, and there are refreshment stops at regular intervals providing hot and cold drinks, bananas, rolls, and snacks. This year again sees entrants given the chance to win a bike kindly donated by Primera Sport in a free prize draw.

The Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride Cycling Jersey and t-shirt can be bought on the day but we recommend that you buy these items when entering the event. As well as being able to buy the Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride Cycling Jersey, you also have the opportunity to own one of our cycling jerseys signed by Olympic and World Gold Medallist Nicole Cooke.
