Some of your questions about the Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride are answered here

Q. Are there GPX files for this event?

A. No. There are signs and marshals.

Q. Can I start early if it is a hot day?

A. Sorry no. To comply with Macmillan's insuracne all riders must leave between 08:00 and 10:00. Remember cyclists riding the longer distances need to register before those riding shorter distances.

Q. Is the 25 mile ride suitable for children?

A. There are a couple of major roads to cross, but do contact us before you enter if you have concerns, you need to be responsible for any under 16's who ride with you.

Q. Is it possible to change my chosen distance?

A. Yes you can do this, even on the day, as long as you stay within the times allowed for your newly chosen distance. All 100 milers must leave at 08:00, 63 milers 08:30, 48 and 38 milers 09:00, 25 milers between 09:30 and 10 milers 10:00

Q. Can I collect or buy my jersey on the day?

A. It is best to buy before the ride to avoid disappointment. In 2018 we anticipate all the '30' jerseys will be sold before the day. We are unable to reserve jerseys for collection on the day unless they have been paid for.

A. Please e mail us your name and we will replace all the details.

Q. Is it possible to enter a team?

A. There is no official team entry scheme however groups of people do ride as teams. Everyone has to enter individually and show some committment to fundraising. Please feel free to e mail us the names of your team members in order to help us. Also we maybe able to provide a team certificate later in the year.  You may find it easier to send paper entry forms and one cheque for the whole team.

A. The whole route (apart form the 10 mile ride) is on road and suitable for road bikes, just one warning; there is about 1 mile of rough disused road in the first part of the course.

A. Sorry there are no reductions for children, but remember all the entry fees goes directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.

A. It maybe possible to enter on the day depending on places being available. We strongly recomend you enter before the closing date to avoid disappointment. After the closing date the entry fee will be increased significantly. Should entry on the day be available details will be posted on this website the week before the ride.
